Frequently asked questions
Which times appear on a Grade 3 sheet?
Every hour of the dial (1 to 12) with minutes that are multiples of 5. Times are written in 12-hour form: 4:35, 9:05.
My child reads 6:35 as 7:35. How can I help?
The mistake comes from the hour hand, which gets close to the 7 without reaching it. Have the child read the minutes on the long hand first, then ask which hour the short hand has just passed.
How is it different from the Grade 2 sheet?
In Grade 2 the clocks are set to quarter hours (:00, :15, :30, :45). Grade 3 adds every five minutes.
What about working out durations?
Duration calculations (time between two times, end time, conversions) are offered for Grades 4 and 5 in the same generator.
Can I customize this worksheet with a different theme?
Yes. Beyond the educational content, you can choose from 10 themes (space, ocean, unicorn, superhero…) that change the color palette of the worksheet to make it more appealing to your child.
