Software Engineer · Father of two
« A motivated parent, even without teaching credentials, can create extraordinary learning conditions for their child — given the right tools, at the right time, with their name on them. »
About
I have been a software engineer for more than 10 years, with a maîtrise degree in computer science (Institut Supérieur de Gestion, 2010) and a master's degree (2012), and I am the father of two. SheetsForKids grew out of a very concrete situation: at age 3, when they started school, my first child could not yet trace their own name, and I could not find the right tools to help at home. Generic store-bought workbooks were either too rigid or too impersonal — without their name, without their themes, without their exact level.
Since then I have supported my children every day: homework help, exercises from their class workbooks, holiday workbooks. That experience as a parent showed me what gets in the way and what helps at home. With my profession, the reflex was natural: instead of buying yet more workbooks, I coded my own worksheet generator — with the child's name, favourite themes, at their level.
The worksheets and guides are inspired by the official French national curriculum (cycles 1 and 2). I am not a teacher by profession, but over the years I have built my own way of explaining things to a child and supporting them. When a guide gives a figure or a recommendation, it cites its source, and if you spot a mistake, write to me — I will fix it.
How I work
- The worksheets and guides are inspired by the official French national curriculum; the parent guides cite their sources.
- The date of the last update is shown on the tools and on the guides.
- A mistake or a typo? The "Report" button and the Contact page reach me directly: I answer and I fix it.
- Links to books or supplies on Amazon are affiliate links, labelled as such. The tools and the PDFs stay free.
